Farm-to-table · Willow Creek

A menu that begins in the soil.

Hearthfield is a small country restaurant where the day’s cooking is decided at first light, out in our own kitchen garden. Seven seasonal courses, grown and gathered within a morning’s reach of the table.

Our philosophy

We don’t order the menu. We grow it.

Twelve acres surround the restaurant — a walled kitchen garden, an orchard, and a handful of raised polytunnels tended by our own growers. What is ready is what we cook. There is no fixed carte pinned to a supplier’s catalogue; the menu is rewritten roughly every three weeks, whenever the garden turns a page.

Everything else arrives from farms and boats within thirty miles: produce from the Redland, cheese from the next town, fish landed that morning on the coast. We know every grower by name, and most by the sound of their truck in the yard.

Picked at dawn, plated by dusk.

The kitchen

Cooking is just careful listening.

Elias trained through the kitchens of Lyon and the Pacific coast before returning to South Florida, where he grew up. He opened Hearthfield in 2014 with a single, stubborn idea: that a restaurant should belong to its land, and change with it.

“A perfect carrot, pulled that morning, needs almost nothing from me. My whole job is to not get in its way.”

He still walks the beds before service most days, and the pass reflects it — precise, seasonal, quietly generous. The brigade cooks what the garden offers, and nothing it doesn’t.

Private & group dining

Gather at the long table.

Some occasions deserve the whole room. We host private dinners, chef’s tables and communal harvest suppers built entirely around the garden and the guests around it.

The Cellar Room

Private dining · up to 14

A candle-lit stone cellar with its own service and a bespoke menu — right for celebrations, boardroom dinners and quiet milestones.

The Chef’s Table

Six guests · kitchen-side

A front-row seat at the pass — six courses cooked and served by the brigade themselves, paired glass by glass by Marielle.

The Long Table

Communal supper · monthly

One night a month, a single long table in the orchard barn — family-style plates drawn straight from that week’s harvest.
